While I'm Here

As you will see in my next post, I Promise pretty fluffy pictures. Rather than doing the code myself, I've just made a cool slide show. And by I've made... I mean photobucket made a slide show. To say there are a variety of photos here is an understatement. A few of note. We've had 4 get-togethers at my house since moving in. I've posted pictures from a few of them. There are pictures of shrimp with sprinkles (it was a joke), pictures of a really cute french bulldog (my current obsession), pictures of my close friends at and approaching graduation, a picture with my sister and I around that time (being photobombed by my dad [if you don't know what that is, look it up on urban dictionary]), pictures of us playing with sparklers at Adams birthday (its July 19th, but because fireworks are legal on pioneer day you could still buy them at the time), pictures of my family around general conference(is it bad that I tried to make the pictures of my dad and I look very impromptu by acting out our conversation even though I knew they were being taken?), There is a picture of me throwing a (butter) knife to my friend Cajun who was on our roof repairing our swamp cooler, Pictures of the pretty mountains less than a mile from where I live, and a bunch of my close friend Megan and I at a BYU graduation party ( which I must admit we went to more to be ironic than purely for the sake of celebration). So, Now that the longest Run-on in history is complete... Enjoy the slide show.

I will post more pictures of my neighborhood and home soon. Feel free to comment.

Maybe Politics is the ONLY thing I'm Passionate about

I don't post as much as I should. I think that's a given. I've actually logged on here 3 or 4 times since my last post helping friends with questions about their blogs. Every time I do, I think "gees I enjoy doing this, I should post more blogs". I don't really ever do it unless something gets me slightly worked up. I've tried to avoid showing some kind of slanted political motives in what I end up posting but then I stumble upon something during my nightly scouring of the news that I consider posting though I rarely do. BUT, sometimes I find something that I can't pass up. I feel like this presidential election is a complete non-contest. I have an incredibly hard time believing polls saying the two candidates are "Neck and Neck". It's insane to me. I don't believe that both of the candidates are honest(Though I feel like the one that refuses to be swift-boated is very straight forward and truthful). I also feel that anyone with an open mind and an eye on the news knows that. One candidate keeps pointing out that the surge is working. After I read the Iraq Study Report I felt that a surge was the right thing to do. I think that it would have been incredibly effective if we had done it correctly and in the way laid out by the report(If you haven't read it, its worth picking up. It's slightly dated but a concise bipartisan picture of the state of Iraq). Fewer troops ended up being sent than were called for.. and here we are. The media reporting something - Fox News and Mr. McCain saying something else. An Iraqi reporter posted these videos of his recent experience in Iraq on Youtube. They're worth a watch.

This is the second portion.

The final part.

Even if you can overlook McCain's mental and physical health, his willingness to overlook the truth and bend it to his advantage should feel troubling. I just don't understand how his party hijacked moral superiority. I'll post pretty fluffy pictures next. I promise.
